I believe that copyediting is both an art and a science.
A good copy editor is an advocate for the reader. I strive to make your work the best printed piece it can be.
I am highly trained in the Chicago Manual of Style (17 ed), but I am happy to work with other styles including MLA and AP.
proofreading
One of my favorite things to do is proofread manuscripts. It is such an honor to be the last touch on a project before it sets off for printing.
Whether an updated edition of a text, or an entirely new work, I will work with you and/or your publisher to give the piece the attention it deserves from the title page through the index.
